This has resulted in an unprecedented agreement to create two golf academies at Calidona's two Spanish courses, as well as Corvera Golf & Country Club playing host to the official PGA Europe winter headquarters (www.pgae.com).
With this historic agreement, more than 7000 professional players from 55 countries will be able to undertake their winter training at both Roda Golf Course and Corvera Golf Course.
Most importantly, we have won the approval of the most demanding of critics, the players themselves. A fact underlined by their high levels of use of the Roda Golf Course.
Roda Golf Course (www.rodagolfcourse.com) is an integral part of Roda Golf & Beach Resort. Carefully planned by Dave Thomas, the renowned international designer, the course boasts the very highest standards in quality. The result is a golf course characterised by careful landscaping, responsible use of natural resources and impeccable maintenance throughout the year.
The transformation of a flat piece of land into rolling golf course, the integration of three strategically positioned lakes, together with exquisite landscaping and the most select varieties of grass, combine to make it one of the finest facilities in all of Spain.
Roda Golf Course is without doubt one of the most outstanding academies in Spain, equipped with the most advanced movement capture and analysis technology. To underline its credentials it is destined to play host to the very first professional and amateur PGA teaching headquarters outside of the United Kingdom.
Corvera Golf Course is located in Corvera Golf & Country Club. An 18-hole, par 72 international competition course set in 70 hectares of stunning scenery. Designed by golfing legend José María Olazábal and his company IGD, Integral Golf Design and in strict accordance with PGA standards, it offers a unique layout in the most beautiful surroundings created by the typical flora of the region and a uniform style which integrates perfectly into its natural environment.
Once fully up and running, Corvera Golf Course will become the PGA Europe Winter Headquarters, where professionals from across the continent will be able to train throughout the year.
