Calidona has made a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of all our processes and services, based on a policy of continual optimisation of our modus operandi. We are working toward the most efficient use of resources, by reducing our use of the available resources through reuse, recycling and renewable energies.
For this reason, Calidona has developed an Environmental Management System in compliance with the ISO14001 standard, and has already applied it to our very first golf course (Roda Golf Course) at Roda.
With respect to construction, an investigation, compilation and selection process has been set up to discover the most sustainable construction materials and technologies.
Calidona has paid special attention to the vegetation in each of its complexes. All the species and varieties in the resorts have been carefully selected based on xero-gardening techniques, taking account of the area's weather conditions, the plants' capacity for adaptation to the soil and minimal water requirements. All trees, aromatic and flowering shrubs are indigenous to the region.
